Twin Cities Gay Men's Chorus To Perform Benefit Concert For Wingspan

Minneapolis, MN, October 29, 2003 – The Twin Cities Gay Men's Chorus will perform in a special outreach concert to benefit Wingspan Ministry of St. Paul-Reformation Lutheran Church on Sunday, November 23, 2003 at 2 p.m. at the church.
The Chorus will perform selections from their upcoming holiday concert: Bells: A Tintinnabulation of Song. An annual favorite, this season’s concert will feature bells, bells and more bells! Every holiday favorite that has “bells” in it will be featured – from the every popular Carol of the Bells to Rachmaninoff’s dramatic setting of Edgar Allen Poe’s poem The Bells. Other selections include O Come All Ye Faithful, Ding, Dong Merrily on High and Variations on Jingle Bells (ala Barbara Streisand.)

Tickets will also be available at the door. St. Paul-Reformation Lutheran Church is located at 100 N. Oxford St., St. Paul.
The Twin Cities Gay Men's Chorus is entering its 23 season in the Twin Cities and is the fourth largest and one of the most highly regarded gay men’s choruses in the country. TCGMC served an audience of over 10,000 this past year through concert programs and outreach performances. Its mission is Gay men building community through music.
Wingspan, formed in 1982, is a ministry of St. Paul-Reformation Lutheran Church to advance the quality of life and growth in Christian faith for lesbian women, gay men, bisexual and transgender persons, their friends and families. The Ministry, with the support of other congregations and agencies works with and on behalf of people of sexual minorities through education, interpretation of tradition and scripture, pastoral care, outreach, witness and advocacy. Wingspan fosters inclusiveness, understanding, healing, acceptance and justice among all people within this congregation, the ELCA, and the wider religious community and society.
