All three of Twin Cities Gay Men’s Chorus ensembles—the full Chorus, Borealis, & OutLoud!—regularly perform around the state of Minnesota and beyond. The full ensemble is approximately 160 singers. Our small ensembles—Borealis & OutLoud!—range from 12-20 singers. Borealis is a tenor-bass chamber ensemble that sings a diverse repertoire from Bach to Bologna. OutLoud! is a vibrant and energetic pop ensemble.

Frequently Asked Questions

For a set of 1-3 songs with the full ensemble, standing and offstage space is needed for 160 singers. For full length-concerts, choral risers are required. Borealis needs space for approximately 20 singers; for OutLoud!, approximately 15 singers.

For the full ensemble, an electric keyboard or tuned piano for our accompanist is required. For Borealis & OutLoud!, a tuned piano may be used but is not required. 1-2 music stands are also needed for all 3 ensembles.

For full Chorus outdoor engagements, 6+ omnidirectional microphones, amplification for a keyboard, and 2 solo microphones are needed. For Borealis & OutLoud!, 4+ omnidirectional microphones and 2 solo microphones will suffice. Indoor venues vary upon context.
